Grading for the 2021-2022 school year is currently being adjusted. More information will follow as soon as it is made available. Thank you for your understanding.
Grading policyBand is a primarily performance-based class. Therefore, grades are primarily based on performance. Several playing tests will be administered throughout the year. Practice charts will be used to determine how much home practice happens each week.
Improvement in playing skills can only happen when skills learned in class are reinforced at home. Written tests/quizzes may occasionally be given. Attendance at all concerts is mandatory, and totaled into the grade average. |
